Devesh Ranjan is an Indian actor based in Mumbai, who has won global recognition for his role as ‘Shyam’ in the internationally acclaimed film Vara: A Blessing, directed by Khyentse Norbu, an internationally acclaimed filmmaker. He was the opening guest at the 18th Busan International Film Festival, 2013, held in South Korea, which lead to his popularity. He learnt acting in Mandi School Of Drama and from the ace casting director - actor Shri Dilip Shankar. Devesh is also known for his major roles in critically acclaimed films like BHOR for which he was nominated as Best Actor at Ottawa Indian Film Festival, Ottawa, Canada, 2019 and JAJABARA 2.0 , a psychological Thriller. Recently, he also won Best Actor Award at Jaipur International Film Festival 2024 for his critical acting in acclaimed short film BEHERUPIYA
